E-LOGOS 2025, 32(2):18-32 | DOI: 10.18267/j.e-logos.510
The paper aims to identify the main thematic areas of contemporary ecophenomenological research. It will be argued that ecophenomenology primarily employs methodological approaches that either problematise the objective, instrumental-scientific approach to the world and/or question the insularity of the knowing subject. It will then be shown that contemporary ecophenomenology takes its inspiration from the work of Husserl, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty and Levinas and, following this, four key themes of ecophenomenological research will be identified, namely Husserl’s notion of the life-world, Heidegger’s thematization of technology and earthly...

E-LOGOS 2025, 32(2):33-38 | DOI: 10.18267/j.e-logos.517

This paper argues that the African moral framework, with its emphasis...

Nisa Ismayilzada
E-LOGOS 2025, 32(2):4-17 | DOI: 10.18267/j.e-logos.515
In recent years, the issue of the compatibility of free will and determinism has been studied by philosophers by methods of experimental philosophy among ordinary people. The results of these experiments led to new disputes about the definition of determinism and fatalism. I propose that to get valid results from experiments, one should first study the perception of ordinary people about what determinism and fatalism are. The research aims to study (non-expert) human perception of determinism as well as people’s views regarding fatalism. The goal of this background research was to change the playing field of further debates on free will and...
